Taxus Baccata is a fantastic evergreen conifer which is native to Britain. Its foliage is comprised of rows of straight, dark green needle-like leaves which form on two rows upon each twig. Young plants can tolerate hard pruning making the Yew a popular choice for topiary, like this Taxus which has been trimmed to form a dense 30-35cm ball. A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding properties, the Taxus Buccata is excellent at blocking noise, wind and pollution.
