Pittosporum Tenuifolium ‘Irene Paterson’ is a beautiful evergreen shrub. Its dense foliage comprises of wavy-leaves which are white when young, maturing to dark green and marginated with white veins. The attractive foliage can show a pink flush in colder months. This variety of Pittosporum is slow growing. A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, the Tawhiwhi is a good choice for hedging or planting towards the back of a bed or border. Each summer small purple flowers arrive, providing an attractive sweet-honey fragrance. Spent blooms may be followed by black seed capsules.
