The Abelia x Grandiflora is a popular long flowering garden shrub. Ideal in borders or well-drained pots/containers, it produces masses of pale pink scented flowers in the summer above its deep green, glossy foliage. This shrub is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring. We recommend growing in a slightly shielded area of your garden (whether that is in front of a wall or towards the back of a flower bed). Recognisable for its pale pink funnel-shaped flowers the Abelia x Grandiflora is excellent for attracting bees and butterflies.
