Berberis Thunbergii ‘Harlequin’ is a colourful and easy to maintain deciduous variety of barberry. Planted as a shrub or a hedge, it offers year-round interest, boasting beautiful deep red-purple leaves, mottled with creamy pink, which contrast with small, red-tinted, pale-yellow flowers that arrive from March until May. In the autumn, purple fruits will appear as well as the leaves turning to a deeper red shade before they fall in late autumn.
