The Abelia x Grandiflora ‘Sherwoodii’ is a popular long flowering garden shrub. Ideal in borders or well-drained pots/containers, it produces masses of white / pale pink scented flowers in the summer above its deep green, glossy foliage which can have a bronze tinge in the winter months. This shrub is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in Spring. We recommend growing in a slightly shielded area of your garden (whether that is in front of a wall or towards the back of a flower bed).
