Santolina Chamaecyparissus is a small evergreen shrub with attractive foliage. Despite its common name the species is not related to either Lavender or Cotton. Its narrow silvery foliage is scented when bruised and forms in compact, bushy mounds. Every summer pretty yellow flowerheads arrive on thin stalks, standing atop the dissected leaves. This popular and easy to grow plant makes a fantastic addition to a bed, border or container and can even be grown into a dwarf hedge.
