A low-growing shrub whose incredible colouring makes it appear as though it almost glows. Heavenly Bamboo Fire Power is not actually a bamboo, it gets the name for its similarity to the leaves of a bamboo plant. The small tear-shaped leaves start out yellow in the spring before greening in the summer, they then change to orange in the autumn months and dark red into the winter. As an evergreen plant, it keeps hold of the deep glorious red leaves until the following year. Meaning that as it enters the spring it can be a mix of red, yellow and green.
Slightly showy, but nonetheless a great addition to your garden, we think this vibrant plant is excellent for those looking to add contrast to an existing scheme or to add a bright colour to a quieter garden.
This plant is very slow growing and its tolerant nature means that it very rarely needs pruning, however it can be trimmed and shaped if desired in late spring or after flowering in the summer.
