Berberis Julianae, commonly known as Wintergreen Barberry, is a hardy shrub which has evergreen dark glossy spiny leaves and large thorns. Often grown as a hedge, it can pose a natural deterrent for intruders. Spring encourages yellow flowers which may show hints of red at the edges. Blue / black berries appear in Autumn add to the year-long interest this plant offers to your garden. A hardy, low maintenance plant which is relatively pest and disease free, the Berberis Julianae makes a great addition to your planting scheme.
