The Ajuga Reptans ‘Black Scallop’ gives excellent groundcover in your garden borders or pots/containers. It soon knits together to form an evergreen carpet, particularly useful for planting at the front of a shady border. This plant has attractive nearly black foliage which is topped with small, densely packed upright spires of deep blue flowers in Spring. It will tolerate all lighting and even poor soils, provided there is adequate moisture. Ajuga Reptans ‘Black Scallop’ is also known for attracting bees, butterflies/moths and other pollinators due to its nectar/pollen rich flowers.
